COLUMBIA - Police arrested a 29-year-old Columbia man Wednesday night on drug charges at his home near West Boulevard Elementary School.

Roosevelt E. Blair was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Officers searched Blair’s residence on Wednesday evening at 215 Wheaton Court. They seized 10 to 20 grams of marijuana packaged for individual sale, according to the release.

Blair’s residence is located about a quarter of a mile from the elementary school. He was being held without bail Thursday at the Boone County Jail.
