Absentee ballot results released

The Boone County Clerk's Office has tallied another round of ballots in the presidential primary.

Mitt Romney led Republicans with 3,479 votes. John McCain was second with 3,023, Mike Huckabee third with 2,268 and Ron Paul fourth with 661.

Among Democrats, Barack Obama had 9,734 votes compared to Hillary Clinton's 5,787 and John Edwards' 258.
