Man confronted with gun, robbed

COLUMBIA — A man with a handgun confronted an 18-year-old before taking his wallet and some cash around 1 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of June Lane in east Columbia, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

The victim was not injured and was warned by the assailant not to contact police, according to the release.

The suspect was last seen driving a small maroon car, according to the release.
