Snow, freezing drizzle in forecast

COLUMBIA — Highways had become partly covered or covered with snow and ice in parts of mid-Missouri early Monday afternoon as light snow and freezing mist continued.

An updated forecast from the National Weather Service was calling for a 30 percent chance of snow and freezing drizzle this afternoon. Snow was likely Monday night, mainly before midnight, with new accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.
