Vote Tuesday

WHAT’S ON THE BALLOT? Voters in Columbia and Boone County will fill positions on city and town councils, school boards, the Boone County Fire Protection District Board, the Boone Hospital Center Board of Trustees and other elected bodies. They’ll also decide school levy and bond issues and two proposed sewer bond issues.

WHO CAN VOTE? You must be a registered voter in Boone County to cast a ballot Tuesday. The registration deadline for this election has passed.

WHERE DO I VOTE? You can find your polling place by going to the Boone County clerk’s Web site, showmeboone.com/CLERK, clicking on “Find your polling place,” then entering your name. You can also view a full list of polling places in the county.

WHEN CAN I VOTE? Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

WHAT DO I TAKE TO THE POLLS? You’ll need some form of identification, whether it’s your voter ID card, a driver’s license, a state-issued ID or any of the other forms of acceptable identification. See the clerk’s Web site for a full list.

WHAT IF I’VE MOVED SINCE THE LAST ELECTION? You’ll have to file a change of address before voting Tuesday. If you have not changed your address by Election Day, you can call the clerk’s office at 886-4375 before going to vote, so your address will be updated and you can be assigned to the correct polling place.
