Anti-illegal immigration group makes push for Senate bill

COLUMBIA — An anti-illegal immigration group is advertising in newspapers across Missouri to support a Senate bill, which among other things would ban illegal immigrants from higher education and jobs.

With the 94th session of the Missouri Legislature coming to a close next week, Missourians Against Illegal Immigration has placed advertisements in newspapers in Columbia and St. Charles. The advertisements read “Save Missouri Lives, Save Missouri Jobs, Save Missouri Tax Dollars.”

The bill, SB 858, would crack down on illegal immigration by banning illegal immigrants from higher education and barring employers from hiring workers who cannot prove the validity of their status in the United States.

The bill has been referred to the Rules Committee and has not budged since Monday.

“Anything is possible, but it is highly unlikely that this bill will make it through by next Friday,” said Tom Pauley, an aide for Sen. Chuck Graham, D-Columbia.

Despite the little time left, the founder of Missourians Against Illegal Immigration, Janet Renner, is hopeful the bill will pass.

“We are doing anything in our power to let the legislators know that Missourians across the state want relief on illegal immigration for all the reasons that are in the bill,” Renner said. “We don’t want our (tax) money going to illegal aliens.”

Renner’s group is a grass-roots organization, and Renner also serves as state advisor to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) organization, which “seeks to improve border security, stop illegal immigration and promote immigration levels consistent with the national interest,” according to FAIR’s Web site.

FAIR was labeled an active U.S. hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, according to the center’s Web site.

Missourians Against Illegal Immigration was started in 2006 and has since gained members in about 90 Missouri cities, Renner said.

She said the group’s main goal is to inform the public about illegal immigration.

The group’s Web site includes assertions that illegal immigrants bring problems to the country, including the spread of diseases like leprosy and malaria.

She said the information is based on her inner beliefs and what she believes is “common sense.”

Renner started the organization after attending a conference in Las Vegas sponsored by Mark Edwards, founder of The Wake Up America Foundation. The group focuses on watching illegal immigration on the U.S. border, according to the Wake Up America Web site.

“I did not know that our immigration laws were not being enforced by our federal government,” Renner said.

While Missourians Against Illegal Immigration is focused on passing the bill, other organizations are not on the same page. One such group is the Missouri Immigrant and Refugee Advocates, an umbrella organization formed to promote immigrants’ rights. Joan Suarez, chair of the group, said she does not believe Renner’s group will really affect the outcome.

“They are a group with relatively little sway,” Suarez said. “If anything, they are citizen lobbyists.”

We still need the pending Federal SAVE ACT(H.R.4088), that will strengthen the conglomeration of state laws around the country. Arizona and a few other states have enacted laws to relieve their taxpayers illegal immigration burden.

All the Sanctuary Cities better watch out...?

Because those hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens busily packing to escape the strict immigration laws, to be implemented in Arizona. The will be fleeing looking for a new home?

Think of it! They have plenty of cities to choose from...?

Los Angeles County and it's aberrant Special Order 40, that let's the criminal filth run amok.
San Francisco now welcoming illegal foreign workers
Salt Lake City, Utah that's allowing this illegal infestation.
Denver, Colorado! Another Welcoming mat

Hey once the large family illegal immigrants arrive at these new South West destinations. They can start feeding at the public welfare troughimmediately.
Federal Housing Administration has been allowing illegal low income families to get mortgages, for little money or nothing down.
Come and get food stamps. If you stole into America and delivered a baby. Now that child has the right of citizenship, although James K. Kelly (OR), 42nd Congress, speaking before a session of the Senate on April 26, 1872 might find this a fraud, played on citizens by recent court decisions.
So the predator employer has an injured illegal hire in the workplace. Why doesn't he drop that individual off on the community hospital steps, because the good old taxpayers of America will pay all the bills; no questions asked?

Hey! The good unaware citizens of Los Angeles county, don't mind paying for all these handouts, even though their own kid's get little or no attention in overcrowded schools. While teachers having too spend valuable time with the children of illegal aliens who cannot even comprehend the English language. They don't care about the higher property taxes or the aggravation they must deal with, in ever increasing lines in hospital waiting rooms. They are not going to care, if traffic just becomes a perpetual travesty on the highways. They really don't care if, they have to use their tax dollars to change voter ballots, court documents into a mass of foreign languages.

So the great couragous Sheriff Joe! The illegal masses are leaving in droves and heading for greener pastures. Your unemployment problems are nearly over. Just like Oklahoma.

Many Missourians are outraged that SB858 hasn't been passed into law. The reason we have an immigration problem is that the illegals can take jobs from Americans because they will work as cheaply as necessary. We're fed up with politicians who favor illegals over the needs of our citizens.

We're already exporting jobs as fast as employers can pack up. Now the remaining ones are being taken by illegals. Where will your children and grand children work when they finish school?

A few years back our President Ronald Regan encouraged the Legislature to give amnesty to the illegal aliens that were in our country. We see that this was not the answer to the illegal immigration problem. Now we have the Mexican President Calderon touring America and meeting with our President and other officials to lobby for amnesty again. We have had incidents in Texas where the Army of Mexico came onto US soil to aid illegal aliens. The present administration took no action in these matters. Our President has entered into negotiations with Calderon and the Prime Minister of Canada just recently in New Orleans. The large corporations are willing to "sell out" America to enhance their profits. How many of you remember the "Security fence" that was promised to Americans? Has it materialized? Do you realize that one of our Congresswoman voted to remove funding for this fence and allow "The Director of Homeland Security" to decide "if and where" to build the fence. The "omnibus" bill, voted on just before Christmas, removes funding for the fence on December 31, 2008. Homeland Security elected to build a "Virtual Fence" with our taxes that was "virtually a joke" and a total waste of funding as it didn't work at all. Millions of dollars that could have been used for another cause like building the fence as promised. As you can see that our Representatives in Washington are not looking out for our interest. This is why we must turn to local protection. When an illegal alien crosses the border their action says: the laws of your nation mean nothing to me I will do as I please. We must take back control of our land and encourage the passage of new laws and enforcement of the existing laws. Please call your representative and tell them to support SB858.

"FAIR was labeled an active U.S. hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, according to the center’s Web site."

Go to the Southern Poverty Law Center's website and see their endless list of implied "hate groups". Sit back and get a good laugh. Their definition of a hate group is any, ANY group of patriotic citizens who want our immigration laws enforced.
You are invited to visit www.fairus.org and see for yourself. While you're at it visit www.alipac.us and browse the forums. Just like www.numbersusa.com, ALIPAC and FAIR members are dedicated to saving this country from the crimes of this illegal invasion and we come in ALL COLORS!

Thank goodness for Janet Renner, who has worked relentlessly to get SB858 this far. She is working for all Missouri citizens and legal immigrants.
At the end of the artical, Activist Immigration Advocate Joan Suarez claims MAII has "little sway and if anything is a citizens lobbyist".
MAII would not be needed if our elected officials in DC would represent us.
Example: A bill called the "SAVE" act HR 4088 is being held up by 4 Missouri Democrats and others by refusing to sign the "Discharge Petition", which allows the bill to come out of committee and come up for a vote.
Are these Reps being swayed by special interest? Call and ask them. 202-224-7121

R. Carnahan, L. Clay, E. Cleaver, I. Skelton.

ONly 30 more votes are needed to make this happen.

Joan Suarez doesn't seem to have any respect for the civil rights of American citizens.. "they hold little sway and if anything are citizen lobbyists"??

Perhaps she needs to be reminded that citizens have the rights, protections and freedoms afforded them by the bill of rights and constitution. In fact, the bill of rights denies any member of congress and the president the ability to use their powers to denigrate the right of the citizen to petition to seek redres, which is what we as citizens are doing to demand our national sovreignty be protected, and our rights not be destroyed by illegal aliens and their corporate bought and paid for lobbies.

Midwest dopes. Lets see what happens when all the immigrants leave and business can't find workers or pick up and move to locations where there are people who actually WANT to work. You don't want money spent on illegal immigrants yet you are fine with wasting US taxpayers money on Iraq, other countries in the Middle East, and pork projects for Cheney's friends at Haliburton. All that now totals in the hundreds of billions, and billions of dollars. The immigrants will bring the money they were spending in your communities for; food, housing, clothing, goods and services and spent it in my state. GOOD. Thats is why we have the 5 largest economy in the world and you forks are nothing.

DinTN Fine with wasting US taxpayers money on Iraq, other countries in the Middle East, and pork projects for Cheney's friends at Haliburton?
Who's fine with this? WHO?

"The immigrants will bring the money they were spending in your communities for; food, housing, clothing, goods and services and spent it in my state. GOOD. Thats is why we have the 5 largest economy in the world and you folks are nothing."

"We're" spending? Spoken like a true illegal border jumper.
All that money YOU'RE spending is money you saved by not paying income tax, medical care, and on, and on, and on,...

When the "immigrants" (as you call them) leave businesses will have to pay a decent wage and treat Americans like human beings AGAIN!

The Missouri Legislature did it! We now have an immigration bill as soon as it is signed by the Govenor. As Washington is neglient in enforcing existing laws this bill was absolutely necessary. Don't sit back and think that we are safe, we have Representatives in Congress that are still trying to pass "Amnesty Bills". Yesterday Barbra Feinstein (D-Ca) added an amendment to the "Iraq Supplemental Appropriations Spending Bill" that would give 1.3 illegal aliens amnesty. The amnedment is called "AG Jobs". In this amendment it would give amnesty to workers and spouses. It will grant Travel Authorization to their families. It would treat these workers as if they had "Green Cards". The last part of the amendment is "Really out of line", she is proposing to prohibit these workers from being prosecuted for "Social Security Fraud and other ID theft crimes. California is claiming that Farm Worker Jobs go unfilled by as much as 30% but it seems funny that Los Angeles and other California cities have a high rate of welfare cases among illegal aliens living there and high rate of unemployment. Why not take away "welfare" until these jobs are filled and have the employers pay a fair wage. There are other amendments that are "tacked on" to this piece of legislation that increase the H2B visa's to unskilled workers, Barbra Mikulski (D-MD). Are the Democrats willing to "sell out" America to "Corporate Greed)? Is there a "For Sale" sign on the door of Congress?

STOP and think. This isn't about paperwork and we all know it. Would you sentence a young man or woman for the crimes of the parent?

Children are children, period. How is it my country can send billions of financial aid and other assistance to impoverished minority children all over the world, then deny that same opportunity to children on its soil?

This is HATE. This is not economics. This is not a matter of legal status. WAKE UP Missouri. This is discrimination at its ugliest. This is denying a young person OPPORTUNITY, a hallmark of the 'American Way.'

Some would like to change what America stands for. Will we sit on our hands long enough to see that happen?

What will Missouri, North Carolina and other states do when "Hate in Disguise" demands that children are jailed/held for deportation like adults?

Where will we draw the line in Missouri?
