PETA protesters wrap themselves in cellophane to mimic meat packages.

Pedestrians stop and watch as PETA members stage a demonstration to commemorate World Vegetarian Week Friday morning at the corner of Ninth and Broadway in downtown Columbia. The organization also planned a similar demonstration this afternoon in St. Louis, according to PETA's Web site.
