COLUMBIA — A rollover accident late Wednesday morning in the 3500 block of North Stadium Boulevard sent one woman to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, a Columbia Police news release said.

The one-vehicle accident occurred when the driver, Ashley Melville, 22, went around a curve traveling southbound on Stadium Boulevard, the release said.

Melville’s car began to skid on the wet pavement, she over-corrected and then went off the road.

The car rolled over twice.

Melville was wearing her seatbelt, which kept her from being thrown from the vehicle, the release said.

She was admitted to the hospital and will stay overnight for observations, the release said.
