COLUMBIA — The Central Missouri Chapter of American Ex-Prisoners of War will host a garage sale to benefit the organization from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Columbia Jaycees Building at 2315 N. Stadium, said Lea Evans, who is helping put on the event.

The group partnered with the Elks for the event, and Elks members will help sell items and load cars during the sale. Wives of Elks members plan to sell light refreshments.

Items for sale include many items, but no clothes. Veterans and ex-prisoners of war from World War II and the Vietnam War will be on hand to greet shoppers.
