Up/Down Columbia blog to track businesses' movements

COLUMBIA— Have you ever driven to your favorite bar, store or restaurant only to find it’s closed or moved? The Columbia Missourian has launched Up/Down Columbia, a blog that will track the opening, closing and moving of Columbia businesses.

We need you, the residents of Boone County, to share with us your experiences with new or closing businesses. If a business is closing, we encourage you not only to check our blog for information about its last day but also to leave comments about your experiences there.

When you stumble upon a new shop or restaurant, check our blog for its hours, learn what it specializes in and read comments from other residents who’ve been there.

Your tips will let us know what to look into. Our commitment to truth and verification still stands, so any claim made in Missourian posts have been fact-checked with the business itself.
