COLUMBIA — One person was trapped in a vehicle for 15 minutes after a car accident Saturday night. According to a press release from the Columbia Fire Department, firefighters responded to the call at 9:14 p.m. at the intersection of Paris Road and Whitegate Drive. The “t-bone” type accident left both vehicles substantially damaged, and the driver of one, trapped. The driver was successfully freed and transported to University Hospital with serious injuries. The condition of the injured driver was unknown as of Sunday afternoon.
