COLUMBIA - An early morning motorcycle accident in northwest Columbia sent one man to the hospital.

William E. Goodridge, 45, of Columbia was admitted to University Hospital with serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle on Route E, a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said.

At 12:40 a.m., Goodridge was traveling south on Route E when he ran off the right side of the road about half a mile south of Wilcox Road. He then hit a ditch and overturned his vehicle, causing him to fly out of the seat, the report said. His motorcycle was totaled.

As of 3:26 p.m., Goodridge was listed as being in good condition at the hospital.
