Search leads to arrest on trafficking charge

COLUMBIA - A Columbia man was arrested Thursday on a drug-trafficking charge by Boone County sheriff's deputies.

Dametrell Koda Washington, 27, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking in the second degree, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.

Deputies searched a residence in the 1500 block of Doulton Drive at about 7 a.m. and found 4 ounces of crack cocaine, thousands of dollars and two concealable firearms, among other things, the release said.
