COLUMBIA - Police are seeking two men who broke into a northeast Columbia home early Saturday morning, a Columbia Police Department news release said.
At around 5:45 a.m., two men forced their way into a home in the 1200 block of Carol Drive and stole some property, the release said.
At about 6:10 a.m., a 15-year-old female resident of the house reported the burglary. She told police that she, along with a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, was sleeping in the house when the men broke in.
She said that one of the men entered the room in which she had been sleeping and appeared to be looking for property to steal. The men searched the house and left with a small amount of property, the release said.
A short time later, the victims fled the home and went to a neighbor's house to call the police. None of the victims was injured during the incident.
At 11 a.m., police were not available to comment on the investigation.
The suspects are described as two males, one of which was wearing a black mask and white gloves or socks on his hands.
