The Missouri women's basketball team announced their schedule for the 2008-09 season Thursday. The schedule is highlighted by 16 home games and 15 games that will feature opponents that reached the postseason last year including eight NCAA tournament teams.
The Tigers open the regular season at home against South Dakota state on Nov. 14. Out of conference foes include two Big Ten opponents, with the Tigers traveling to Champaign, Ill. on Nov. 19, to take on Illinois before hosting Indiana on Nov. 22.
Missouri will travel back to Illinois from Nov. 29-30 where they will compete in Northwestern’s Mildred and Roger L. White Invitational in Evanston. The team’s first game at the invitational is against Holy Cross on Nov. 29 followed by a meeting with host team Northwestern on Nov. 30.
Missouri’s Big 12 schedule will be highlighted by trips to Oklahoma on Jan. 31 and Baylor on Feb. 14 and a home game against Texas on Feb. 24.
