COLUMBIA — Greg Mortenson, author of "Three Cups of Tea" - the book chosen for this year's Mizzou Reads program - will speak about his experience and book at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in MU's Jesse Auditorium.

The book, which was No. 1 on the New York Times Best-Seller List, is a collaborative account by Mortenson and award-winning journalist David Oliver Relin about Mortenson's humanitarian efforts to build schools in remote areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan to combat extremism.

Mortenson will sign books at the University Bookstore from 4 to 5 p.m. Admission to the lecture and question-and-answer session is free for MU students and $10 for the general public.
