BEVERLY HILLS, Mo. — One man is dead, and another is recovering from a minor bullet wound after a late Saturday night shooting at a home in suburban St. Louis.

St. Louis County Police and Beverly Hills city police are investigating the shooting at 11:50 p.m. Saturday that left 29-year-old Dontez Meriwether dead. Police say they found Meriwether shot outside a Beverly Hills home. A 25-year-old man grazed by a bullet refused treatment.

Police said the second man told officers that they were sitting on the front porch of the home when a man armed with a handgun approached and opened fire.

The suspect fled on foot.
