CARTHAGE — Jasper County investigators are looking into the possible double homicide of a husband and wife at a home west of Carthage.

The Joplin Globe reported that authorities were alerted Sunday morning when the couple's son went to their house after they didn't show up for church and found their bodies.

Sheriff Archie Dunn said the department wasn't releasing the victims' names or other details until it notified the couple's relatives. Dunn said the department planned to hold a news conference Monday morning to release more information.
