MILLERSVILLE — A 10-year-old southeast Missouri girl is dead after a crash involving the dirt bike she was driving on private property near Millersville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Monday that Natalie Wood of Jackson was driving her cousin on a dirt bike Sunday when her father accidentally struck them with his vehicle.

Sgt. Dale Moreland says 46-year-old Harvey Wood of Jackson was driving a 2001 Dodge when it struck head-on a 2001 Honda dirt bike driven by his 10-year-old daughter, Natalie.

He says they couldn't see each other around a bend in the road. No charges will be filed.

Natalie was pronounced dead later Sunday at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Natalie Wood's 9-year-old cousin, Corey Harrison of Washington, Mo., was a passenger on the dirt bike. He was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
