Columbia College women's basketball wins

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women’s basketball team beat Missouri Valley 81-42 on Friday at Central Methodist University. The Cougars improved to 5-1 on the season.

Columbia College led 37-26 at halftime. It held Missouri Valley to 19 percent shooting in the second half while outscoring the Vikings 44-16. Rachel Oswald led the Cougars with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

The Cougars play Central Methodist at 3 p.m. Saturday.
