Search warrant leads to arrest of Columbia man, police say

COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was arrested Thursday morning after police executed a search warrant on his apartment, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Police found approximately 38 grams of marijuana, scales and a rifle in the home, the release said. The rifle was seized for "safe keeping."

As a result of the search, James A. Larkins, 28, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
