SEDALIA — A Columbia man is charged with a rape that happened six years ago.

Pettis County prosecutors charged 24-year-old Terrance E. Morse earlier this month with felony forcible rape and felony first-degree statutory rape after the victim, now 13, told police that Morse raped her when she was 7.

Morse was arrested Saturday and is in Pettis County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

The victim told Sedalia police in October that one man held her down on a bed in her mother's house while another man raped her. She said she knew both men.

The other man has not been charged but is wanted on a parole violation.
