Columbia stores stay open late for holiday shoppers

COLUMBIA  — Holiday hours have been extended in several Columbia stores this week.

Macy’s is open until midnight today and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Mall is open until 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

In The District, shops set their own hours during the holidays.

“I know some shops open till later than usual," said Persethone Dakotooos, assistant director for the Special Business District.

The Wine Cellar & Bistro, 505 Cherry St., will be open for dinner Christmas day, for example.

“This will be our first year to open on Christmas,” owner Sarah Cyr said.
