Quick start aids Hickman boys basketball

COLUMBIA — The Hickman boys basketball team defeated Sedalia 69-43 on Thursday in the first round of the Lindbergh tournament.

Hickman jumped to a 33-18 halftime lead after outscoring Sedalia (8-6) 18-4 in the second quarter.

Eric Franklin led Hickman (11-4) with 18 points. and A.J. Terrill scored 14 and Spenser Washington had 11.

Hickman will play in the tournament semifinals at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
