The debate on whether Columbia City Council members should get paid has been going on for some time. Mayor Darwin Hindman was criticized in the last week about a reported meeting with former Columbia mayors during which they talked about paying City Council members. Columbia Missourian politics editor Scott Swafford rehashes the debate over council member compensation with KBIA’s Janet Saidi.
