LAGRANGE — A man has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of his wife and infant son in the northeast Missouri town of LaGrange.

The charges were filed Wednesday in Lewis County against 24-four-year-old Christopher Piersee of LaGrange.

Twenty-one-year-old Patricia Piersee was fatally shot and 6-month-old Landon Piersee died after he was struck in the head. Their bodies were found Tuesday inside a home in downtown LaGrange.

LaGrange Police Chief Larry Penn said there had been one complaint of a domestic disturbance at the house within the last several months, but he could not offer details.

Christopher Piersee was being held without bond. The Lewis County Sheriff's Department said he has been transferred to a Missouri Department of Corrections evaluation facility.
