MU wheelchair basketball gets new coach

MU ATHLETICS: Ron Lykins has been named the new coach of MU's Tiger Wheelchair Basketball Team.

Lykins, who has 29 years experience, coached the USA Women’s Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball Team to gold medals at the 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games and the 2007 Para Pan-American Games. 

“The Tiger Wheelchair Basketball program has grown considerably over the past five years,” said Diane Dahlmann, director of MU recreation services and facilities,ina realease.  “The addition of Ron Lykins will allow the program to evolved and flourish.
