The Rock Bridge boys basketball team defeated the Truman Patriots 76-36 on Wednesday in Independence to improve to 23-1.

The Bruins led 35-18 at the end of the half and did not trail at any point of the game.

“Our defensive was really good and we got our transition game working,” Bruins coach Jim Scanlon said by phone. “Our guys played really well tonight.”

Justin Miller led the Bruins with 17. Three Bruins had at least seven rebounds.

Friday, the Bruins will take on Helias High School at Jefferson City. Helias is riding a five-game winning streak.

"We’re taking on one of the best teams in the state of Missouri on Friday, Scanlon said. “We’re going to have to match our intensity from tonight and play well."
