Belcher likely to become next Columbia Public Schools superintendent

Candidate for Columbia Public Schools superintendent Chris Belcher attended a question-and-answer session at Paxton Keeley Elementary School on Thursday.
Chris Belcher is expected to become the next superintendent of Columbia Public
Belcher, who now oversees the Kearney R-1 School
District northeast of Kansas City, said late Thursday afternoon that he
still needed to meet with his board.
Belcher was selected over former
Columbia district administrator Skip Deming.
