Columbia College women beat Williams Baptist

The Columbia College women's basketball team defeated Williams Baptist 64-61 on Saturday afternoon in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

The Cougars (26-3, 13-2 in the American Midwest Conference) were ahead 28-26 at halftime.

“It was close the entire game,” Columbia College coach Mike Davis said.

Rachel Oswald led the Cougars with 18 points, while Brittany Taylor scored 15 and had nine rebounds.

The first matchup this season between the Cougars and the Eagles (12-15, 6-8) was a 84-61 Cougars victory.

The final game of the Cougars' regular season is against Harris-Stowe at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Southwell Complex.
