LETTER: Community makes Meals on Wheels fundraiser a success

This is a thank you to the Columbia residents and businesses that supported the recent Meals on Wheels fundraiser, Big Wheels, by purchasing lunches and making donations. For the 15th year we delivered Jack’s catered box lunches. This year we delivered 2,390 lunches.  We want to especially thank the Elks Lodge for the use of their facility and the local media who helped us publicize our event. We had more than 80 volunteers delivering meals, and that included 20 Boone County Bank employees. Thanks for helping us keep the wheels rolling as we go into our 37th year.
