COLUMBIA – The man police were seeking on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia turned himself in to authorities at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Sgt. Brian Richenberger with the Columbia Police Department.

Police found 20 marijuana plants at Jason Boley's home at 3104 Crawford St. on Monday. Richenberger said that police officers returned to Boley's house Monday night and spoke with his girlfriend.

"He became aware we were at his house and we were looking for him," Richenberger said.

According to a news release from the Columbia Police Department, Boley was booked at the Police Department and then transported to the Boone County Jail.

Boley's bond was set for $10,500 and he was bailed out, Richenberger said.

Boley is being charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Richenberger said.
