COLUMBIA — The victim of a Jan. 20 fire on Rock Quarry Road has been identified as Randall A. Bailey, 41, of Columbia, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

Carolyn Mathews told police Bailey was living in the structure behind her house on 4200 Rock Quarry Road and was seen in it shortly before the fire, the release states. Because of damage to the body, identification had to wait for a DNA analysis to be done by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Laboratory.
