Boone County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of Overhill Road after receiving information about possible narcotics in the home, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

When deputies arrived, they contacted an occupant of the home and received consent to search the residence.

According to the release, deputies found a liquid they think is LSD, capsules of powder they think is heroin and less than 35 grams of marijuana. Deputies also found drug paraphernalia. The release said that Stephen T. Downer, 26, of Sedalia, admitted that the items were his.

Downer was arrested for drug distribution, manufacture or possession of a controlled substance Saturday in Columbia.

Downer’s bond is set for $25,000.
