ST. LOUIS — Police in St. Louis are searching for two gunmen who pistol-whipped one McDonald's employee and roughed up other workers.

The attack happened during a robbery just before midnight Tuesday at a McDonald's on the city's south side. Police say a worker took out the trash and two gunmen were waiting for him outside.

The worker was pistol whipped then forced back inside. The gunmen then allegedly grabbed female workers by the hair and threw them to the floor.

The safe was robbed and money was taken from cash registers.

The male worker was treated at the scene for injuries from the pistol attack. No one else required medical attention.
