Missouri softball wins first game of doubleheader

The No. 12 Missouri softball team improved to 14-2 on the season with a 2-0 victory over SIU Edwardsville on Tuesday afternoon at University Field.

Freshman Chelsea Thomas (6-2) earned the shutout victory, while freshman first baseman Ashley Fleming's two-run home run in the third inning provided Missouri's scoring.
