Thomas throws second straight no hitter as Missouri softball dominates

Missouri's Chelsea Thomas was flawless, again.

Thomas threw her second consecutive no hitter, this time against against Missouri State in a 5-0 win Sunday in the All Missouri Breast Cancer Awareness tournament.

The freshman pitcher's previous no hitter came against Southeast Missouri State on Saturday.

Thomas, who owns a 0.77 earned run average on the year, finished the tournament with a 2-0 record, 12 innings pitched and eight strikeouts.

Missouri held off Saint Louis, 4-3 earlier Sunday and won all four games it played in the tournament.

Missouri’s next game is against Northern Iowa at University Field in Columbia, Mo. on Wednesday at 3pm
