Columbia College faces Lee University in NAIA men's basketball tournament

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men’s basketball team will face Lee University from Tennessee in the first round of the NAIA national men's basketball tournament.
It will be the No. 19-ranked Cougars first meeting with the Flames. Both teams enter the tournament at 26-7. The game starts at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
The single-elimination tournament consists of 32 teams. Columbia College automatically received its berth by winning the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament.
If the Cougars prevail against the Flames, they will face the winner of the game between the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and No. 3-ranked Union University from Tennessee at 6:15 p.m. March 20.
