Rock Bridge's Harry wins big award

Katherine Harry, a senior center on the Rock Bridge girls basketball team, has been named the 2008-09 Gatorade Missouri Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Harry is the first student athlete at Rock Bridge to win the award.

Harry is now a finalist to win the Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year award, which will be announced later this month.

Harry averaged 14.7 points and 8.4 rebounds to help lead the Bruins to the Class 5 state quarterfinals this season. Last season, Harry helped her team win the Class 5 state championship.

Harry is also a member of the National Honor Society and has a 3.30 grade-point-average. Harry has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at DePaul University in the fall.
