ST. LOUIS — Members of a coalition of business and environmental groups say Missouri can create jobs by investing in clean energy.

Members of the United States Climate Action Partnership spoke Tuesday at a meeting of the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association. They said opportunities go beyond wind turbines.

Daniel Lashof of the Natural Resources Defense Council says there are strong opportunities in Missouri for both biofuels and co-firing biomass with coal in electric power plants.

The partnership includes 26 corporations and five environmental groups working to cut greenhouse emissions.
