Woman in critical condition after Paris Road two-car crash

COLUMBIA — One person was hospitalized in critical condition Thursday night after a two-car crash in Paris Road, Columbia police said. 

At 4 p.m., Columbia Police responded to an injury accident on Paris Road near Mexico Gravel Road, according to a news release from the police.

Stacey Murdock, 33, of Columbia, was traveling north on Paris Road when Jo Ann Duncan, 70, of Columbia, pulled out of a parking lot in front of Murdock's vehicle.

The two vehicles collided and came to rest in the southbound lane of Paris Road, the release stated.

Duncan was taken to University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition Thursday night. Murdock was taken to Boone Hospital Center, where she was treated and released, according to the release.
