Voter turnout historically low

Only 10,503 Boone County voters, or 10.1 percent of those registered, cast ballots in Tuesday's municipal election. Boone County has 104,140 registered voters. It was an extraordinarily low turnout, even by April election standards. Here's a look at municipal election turnout in the previous five years.
