JEFFERSON CITY — Jurors have convicted a Missouri woman of kidnapping her 11-year-old daughter, who was found in a crawl space under the woman's living room.

Rebecca Albrecht of New Bloomfield was also found guilty Thursday night of lying to investigators and a Cole County grand jury about the girl's whereabouts. The jury found that Albrecht kidnapped Bailey Vieth from her father's Jefferson City home and kept her hidden from July 29 to Aug. 20, 2008.

The 38-year-old Albrecht and her ex-husband were embroiled in a bitter custody battle when the child was abducted.

The Franklin County jury heard the trial in Cole County.

Circuit Judge Richard Callahan scheduled a May 27 hearing, where he'll hear arguments for a new trial from Albrecht's attorney. If the motion is denied, Callahan would then order a sentence in the case.
