JEFFERSON CITY — Two Republican House members have signed sworn statements backing up their assertions that a staffer for Gov. Jay Nixon improperly tried to influence their votes. They claimed last week that the aide suggested they would be rewarded if they voted for a budget bill funding a Medicaid expansion. A Nixon spokesman called the accusations baseless.
