PERRYVILLE — A truck driver is in good condition after crawling away from an accident prompted by his choking on a mint.

Authorities said Danny Coult's truck fell 20 feet off a cliff near Interstate 55 in Perryville Tuesday night.

The 56-year-old from Tooele, Utah, was driving his semi home from Dyersburg, Tenn., when he began choking on a mint. He veered off the right northbound lane and his vehicle fell off the interstate.

He says he thought he would die, but was able to crawl out of his cab. The truck was totaled. Coult wasn't wearing a seat belt.

He was treated at a local hospital for scratches and bruised ribs.
