The Rock Bridge boys tennis team beat Springfield Central in its sectional and Jefferson City in the quarterfinals Saturday at Bethel Park to advance to the semifinals of the Class 2 state tournament for the eighth straight time.

The victories push the Bruins record this season to 24-0 in dual meets and, added to last season's undefeated state championship run, gives Rock Bridge a 50-match winning streak.

Both Springfield Central and Jefferson City fell to Rock Bridge 5-0. The Bruins are set to face Rockhurst at 9 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield in a rematch of last season's state championship. The winner advances to play the winner of the other semifinal, either Kirkwood or Parkway Central.
