Humane Society needs help naming two new equines

ST. LOUIS — The Humane Society of Missouri and its Longmeadow Rescue Ranch want the public to help name two new additions.

A female miniature donkey and a female miniature horse were born last month. The Humane Society says the little animals need names to fit their personalities.

The small gray donkey was born to Cypress, a miniature donkey rescued last August from Polk County.

The horse is black and white and was born to Clove, a miniature horse that came from a substandard puppy mill in Tennessee last June.

The naming contest runs through June 10.
