HANNIBAL — Three teenagers were arrested less than three hours after a blaze was reported at Hannibal High School.

The fire broke out Monday morning in a bathroom in the high school's annex. Two of the suspects are 16 and one is 17. Their names were not released.

Authorities say the fire in a trash can was intentionally set. No one was hurt. About 70 summer school students and staff had to be evacuated.

A school district worker put out the flame with an extinguisher, and firefighters arrived to ventilate the building.

Authorities have not discussed a possible motive.
