COLUMBIA — The Columbia Police Department's SWAT team discovered about 40 marijuana plants and 10 grams of mushrooms growing inside a Columbia home Tuesday, but the suspect has not been found.

A warrant to search a home located in 4000th block of Riviera Drive, about three miles north of Business Loop 70, resulted from an investigation of an indoor marijuana-growing operation by the department’s Narcotics Unit.

The room held plants in various growth stages and drug paraphernalia. The owner of the residence and primary suspect, Paul H. Juckniess, 25, wasn’t home when the SWAT team entered.

Police have issued a warrant for Juckniess’ arrest on suspicion of manufacturing of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of a controlled substance.
