Lightning strike suspected in missing man's plunge into Mississippi River

ST. LOUIS — The search is on for a Mississippi River boater who apparently fell overboard after a lightning strike.

Jefferson County authorities and the Missouri State Water Patrol are combing the river near Crystal City for the man.

He was one of two men in the boat who fell overboard. The other made it to shore and called 911.
